The files stored here include input data from scripts to produce the typology “rurality and link to the city” developed by DREES from INSEE zoning [https://gitlab.com/DREES_code/public/outils/typologie-ruralites](https://gitlab.com/DREES_code/public/outils/typologie-ruralites).
Five annual density grid files are provided (2015 to 2019). The one in municipal geography of 2015 is a file in RData format (base_communale_2015_popleg2013.RData), the following years the files are in.csv format (grid_densite_20XX.csv).
There is also the file ‘typo_arrondissements.txt’ which gives the density category (1) assigned to each arrondissement of Paris, Lyon and Marseille (this information is missing from the density grids provided by INSEE).
Finally, the data of the IGN (Map2015.7z) allow, for the year 2015, to have the legal population data and to construct the main maps published in [DREES file n°63](https://drees.solidarites-sante.gouv.fr/sites/default/files/2020-10/dd63.pdf).
