SALW: Supervised sections — SPC Gironde-Adour-Dordogne Basin and Vienna-Charente-Atlantique (linear)

This dataset contains the sections of rivers monitored (linear objects) by the Crus Gironde Adour Dordogne (SPC GAD) and Vienna-Charente-Atlantique (SPC VCA) of the region Aquitaine — Limousin — Poitou-Charentes. The announcement of floods is regulated by the interministerial decrees of 27 February 1984 which define the role of the various State departments. Flood announcement services must monitor river levels throughout the basin, prepare flood warnings and notify the Civil Protection Service when exceeding a critical threshold. Pre-warning and alerting, placed under #x27; authority of prefects, consists of implementing the means of implementation; intervention on the ground, warning mayors, recording flood warnings and disseminating information.
