The SCoT (Schema de Coherence Territoriale) is governed by the Urban Planning Code (Articles L and R.141-1 et seq.). It is a town planning document determining at the level of several municipalities or groupings of municipalities, a territorial project aimed at bringing all sectoral policies in line, in particular for housing, mobility, commercial development, the environment and the landscape.
The SCoT data is broken down into 3 separate data:
\- scot_approved: Scot approved and enforceable. The perimeter corresponds to the perimeter of the approved document.
* scot_in progress: Scot being developed or revised. Any change to a SCoT creates a new version that replaces the previous one. Thus, a revised SCoT may have a different perimeter from the scope of the previous approved document.
* scot_archives: Scot replaced, cancelled or expired. Any change to a SCoT creates a new version that replaces the previous one. Thus, a revised SCoT (previously in the scot_en_course layer) that is approved and enforceable passes into the approved scot_layer. The SCoT which is replaced by this new one passes through the scot_archives layer. The same applies to a cancelled or expired SCoT (more details in the attribute dictionary below).
The data produced is based on the June 2018 CNIG SCoT model: [http://cnig.gouv.fr/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/190315_Standard_CNIG_SCOT...](http://cnig.gouv.fr/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/190315_Standard_CNIG_SCOT.pdf)
