Dataset description
The Small Cities of Tomorrow (Small Cities of Tomorrow) programme aims to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of small municipalities and surrounding areas by supporting communities on dynamic and environmentally friendly paths. The objective of the programme is to give elected representatives of cities and their intercommunalities of less than 20,000 inhabitants exercising central functions the means to implement their territorial projects.
In addition to its contribution to the definition and governance of the national programme, the Bank of the Territories mobilises EUR 200 million over the duration of the programme to enable developing countries to access the engineering required for their revitalisation projects. A target of EUR 100 million of investments and new ways of accessing the Urban Renewal Project complement the funding offered to the programme’s target territories.
