Homogeneous zone according to agro-climatic criteria that condition grassland production.This zoning was based on the results of the survey conducted by the SCEES in 1982. It was determined on the basis of the following criteria: — climate (especially l'hygrometry) — mean altitude — geology (nature of soil and subsoil). They were revised in 1998 to work on areas of at least 90,000 hectares. They serve as the basis for the Prairie Objective Information and Monitoring (ISOP) system that provides yield estimates for temporary and permanent productive grassland.The 228 French forage regions exclude low-forage departments: L'island of France and the Mediterranean. __Origin__ Source DRAAF.
