The training accompanies staff throughout their professional career. The purpose of the proposed training offer is to respond to:
* a requirement for the professionalisation of staff on their jobs;
* desires for professional development and individual promotion (preparations for competitions and professional examinations, refresher and further training courses);
* the desire to accompany change within the directorates.
In the social assessment the data are presented by hierarchical category and by theme. By category, the review is done by counting the number of staff trained, regardless of the number of individualised trainings each staff member has completed. By theme, the review is carried out per trainee, the same staff member can thus be counted several times provided that he has received several training courses during the year.
The social assessment of the Parisian community provides, each year, quantitative but also qualitative information on the human resources of the City of Paris. It traces the evolution of the main indicators relating to human resources policy, be it staff, remuneration, hygiene and safety, careers and training, working conditions and social relations.
In anticipation, the datasets “Bilan Social” have integrated the [community merger](https://www.paris.fr/actualites/paris-fusion-de-la-ville-et-du-conseil-departemental-6373) relating to [Order No. 2018-74](https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/affichTexte.do?cidTexte=JORFTEXT000036585048&dateTexte=&categorieLien=id) as of 2018. The code _City of Paris_ therefore replaces from 2018 the codes _Commune_ and _Department_ of the Collectivity column.
