This table lists the different reservoirs of biodiversity. Pursuant to Article R.371-19 II of the Environmental Code, biodiversity reservoirs are spaces in which rare or common biodiversity, threatened or unthreatened, is the richest or best represented, where species can complete all or part of their life cycle (food, reproduction, rest) and where natural habitats can ensure their functioning, in particular being of sufficient size. These are spaces that can house nuclei of populations of species from which individuals disperse, or likely to accommodate new populations of species.
