SRCE 2014 — Permeable aquatic spaces of Rhône-Alpes

They make it possible to ensure the coherence of the Green and Blue Trame, in addition to the ecological corridors, translating the idea of global connectivity of the territory. They are generally made up of a so-called “ordinary” nature but indispensable to the ecological functioning of the regional territory. These are mainly land areas with predominantly agricultural, forest and natural areas but also areas linked to aquatic environments. The permeable spaces have been mapped on the basis of the subtrames of the Rhône-Alpes Ecological Network (RERA, 2009). Permeable spaces are areas of vigilance, acting as corridors for linking biodiversity reservoirs. The challenge for the SRCE is to ensure that their functionality is maintained over the long term.
