This dataset contains the 195 independent states recognised by France (including France) and the two states associated with New Zealand. The columns correspond to: NAME: short name without article NOM_ALPHA: short name without article, alphabetically sorted according to the main denomination. Ex: Dominican Republic (Republic) CODE: ISO code 3 letters, very useful for pairings ARTICLE: the article of the name runs, when it exists, nothing else. NOM_LONG: long name, without article (the article obeys the French rules or the CODE column) CAPITAL: capital Have been removed from this list in relation to our planispheres: Western Sahara, Taiwan, Palestinian territories (disputed status), Antarctica (special status) and Jerusalem (corpus separatum)
