The noise classification of inland transport infrastructure is a regulatory approach taken pursuant to Article L571-10 of the Environmental Code and the Order of 30 May 1996, which require the prefect of each department to classify land transport infrastructure according to 5 categories (1 being the noisier and 5 least noisy).
The noise classification of Eure’s land transport infrastructure was stopped on 13 December 2011 and takes into account all tracks with more than 5,000 vehicles per day and more than 50 trains per day.
