The noise classification of inland transport infrastructure is a regulatory approach taken pursuant to Article L571-10 of the Environmental Code and the Order of 30 May 1996, which require the prefect of each department to classify land transport infrastructure according to 5 categories (1 being the noisier and 5 least noisy).
The noise classification of Eure’s land transport infrastructure was stopped on 13 December 2011 and takes into account all tracks with more than 5,000 vehicles per day and more than 50 trains per day. L' Prefectural decree of 20 April 2015 integrates the classification of the municipal roads of the Grand Evreux Agglomération.
This is the corridor layer linked to the rail network.
__Origin__
The noise classification of infrastructures allows to identify the sectors affected by land transport noise.
Road and rail lanes with traffic of more than 5000 vehicles per day or 50 trains per day have been the subject of a census by the Departmental Directorate of Territories and Sea.
This census, mandatory in each department, existed and had been the subject of a validation by prefectural decree on 8 April 2003.
