The offer of care for young children

National and departmental annual and historical series on early childhood care are made available here. It includes the number of institutions and places in collective and family care for children under 6 years of age, the distribution of establishments according to their capacity, the managing body, management staff and data on the accreditation of maternal and family assistants. These data are derived from the Social Assistance Survey conducted annually by departmental councils. It collects aggregated data on recipients and expenditure of social assistance benefits under the responsibility of the departments and their staff. The survey also covers maternal and child protection (MIP). This department organises medical and social consultations and prevention activities for pregnant women and children under the age of 6. It also provides the accreditation and supervision of maternal assistants as well as facilities and care services for children under the age of 6.
