Since 1 January 2017, 17 public intercommunal cooperation institutions (EPCI) cover the department of Gard, including 4 agglomeration communities (CA) and 13 communities of municipalities (CC). Among them, 1 agglomeration community and 2 communities of municipalities do not have their headquarters in the department.
