The staff of the departmental social and medico-social action

National and departmental historical series on the number and characteristics of recipients of departmental social assistance (older people, disabled persons, social assistance for children) have been available here since 1996. These data are derived from the Social Assistance Survey is an annual survey carried out among departmental councils, which collects aggregated data on the beneficiaries and expenditure of social assistance benefits under the responsibility of the departments.Here data are made available here by vintage and long series on the number of departmental social and medico-social workers in active and remunerated activities as at 31 December of the year. These data are derived from the [Social Assistance Survey of Departmental Councils](https://drees.solidarites-sante.gouv.fr/sources-outils-et-enquetes/lenquete-aide-sociale-aupres-des-conseils-departementaux), conducted annually by the DREES, which collects data on recipients of social assistance, expenditure and personnel of social and medico-social action. It also covers the activities of the Maternal and Child Welfare Services (MIP).
