A line essentially distinguishing the maritime public domain (downstream) from the river public domain (if the water course considered is federal) or from the private domain of the residents (upstream). The transversal limit of the sea * (LTM) is the real limit in domestic law of the sea, and is the one that serves as a reference for determining the municipalities &riveraines of the sea; within the meaning of the Littoral Act *. Decree No. 2004-309 of 29 March 2004 on the procedure for the delimitation of the shore * of the sea, of the sea and of the transversal limits from the sea to the sea; the mouth of rivers and rivers lays down the applicable procedure.
