Trees in Rennes Métropole (outside of Rennes)

This layer of data represents the trees located in the spaces managed by the departments of the communes of Rennes Métropole. Any type of tree (alignment, ornament,...) is represented singularly in the form of a point. Each municipality of the metropolis manages its data on its territory. Rennes Métropole’s SIG service provides technical management. Only the trees of the municipalities participating in the “intercommunal layers” project are visible in this data layer. The data of the City of Rennes are not included in this layer because they are broken down into various separate layers managed by the Direction des Jardins et de la Biodiversité. The main attributes of a tree are: \- its common name \- its Latin name or taxon \- its function: alignment, ornament, totem,... \- its size type as well as: \- diagnostic elements \- various dates: planting, diagnosis last maintenance, next maintenance, tree cutting date These data are updated by the technical services of each municipality via tools made available to them by Rennes Métropole.
