For [oqp.io](https://oqp.io), a vacant housing is primarily a resource, a raw material for creating housing. Not necessarily already a product, housing available or ready to find taker on the real estate market, but an unoccupied (or soon unoccupied) and potentially habitable property. An empty apartment, a house whose inhabitants will move, a farmhouse that falls into ruins, a building floor with disused offices or attic that can be arranged in a building are as such resources. A second home, even occupied very episodicly, is not one.
On oqp.io, everyone can report a vacant accommodation from a mobile or computer or enrich the information already shared. We can then imagine and detail different projects [(see project dataset)](https://www.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/projets-de-reutilisations-de-logements-vacants-sur-oqp-io/).
This dataset is published on an experimental basis, with [some already known limitations](https://github.com/oqpio/oqpio/issues/6). Any opinion on its format or even on the structure of the data is welcome!
