Verdon Park — Charter 2008-2020 — Sites of major ecological interest in the Park Plan

Sites of major ecological interest are areas of reference, whose biodiversity and ecological interest must be preserved, because of their natural habitats, the remarkable fauna and flora they host (regional to international interest) and their geological interest. The Park implements on these sites a program of ecological inventories and an enhanced animation, in order to better inform owners and users of the heritage interest of these sites, and proposes the realisation of management plans, as well as the establishment of appropriate, contractual and/or regulatory means of protection, depending on the issues, the context and the wishes of the owners and users.
