Vocabulary of the Ministry of Culture

List of scientific and technical vocabulary produced by the Ministry of Culture and its partners. The harmonisation of scientific and technical vocabulary is a project within the framework of the HADOC programme (Harmonisation of the Production of Cultural Data). The initial challenge was to “freeze” the multiple terminology, authority lists and thesaurus used for indexing and research, currently locked in production or dissemination tools, with a view to sharing them between different professions and applications and facilitating their re-use. The GINCO application provides a vocabulary management environment based on ISO 25964-1:2011 Information and documentation — Thesaurus and interoperability with other vocabularies — Part 1: Thesaurus for documentary research. Thesaurus or authority lists produced in this new environment can be exported in SKOS format, the language used to disseminate terminology on the web.
