Water reservoirs used for snow production in Haute-Savoie

Withholdings of water supplying a snow production facility. All restraints (and retention projects) allowing snow production on the Haute-Savoie estates are represented, except those located on the territory of Switzerland (area of the Portes du Soleil). __Origin__ The table was created in order to have a better understanding of the pressures exerted by snow production on water resources and on drinking water supply, and of #x27; providing assistance to the water police exercise. The geographical objects are digitised at l' screen with the ORTHO® BD in background (air shot: summer 2008 for Haute-Savoie, 2009 for Savoie) or SCAN25® from l'IGN; the point representing the restraint is positioned in the center of the plane d'water. The information describing the objects comes from different sources: application files of ' authorisation under the law on water, field visits, surveys of operators of ski resorts...
