A coastal water body is a distinct and significant part of the surface waters between the baseline used to measure the breadth of territorial waters and a distance of one nautical mile. DCE reporting correspondence: this entity corresponds to WISE’s Coastal Water Body (CWBODY). It defines environmental objectives, assesses the state of the environment and subsequently verifies the achievement of these objectives.
The version posted on the SANDRE website is in line with the 2016 report. The next version of the Water Mass (provisional water masses, defined for the State of the Places) is scheduled for 2019.
The layers are distributed in a format consistent with the SANDRE Data Dictionary of the Water Body Reference, version 1.3.
