A hydrometric site is a geographical location (cut of rivers d' water) on which flow measurements are made and deemed homogeneous and comparable to each other. To simplify cartographic exploitation, the hydrometric site is reduced to a point.
A hydrometric station is a device installed on a hydrometric site to measure a specific magnitude related to hydrometry (height or flow). It is generally a limnimetric scale that allows l' observation of the height of water. A station may carry a height and/or flow rate, directly measured or calculated from a taming curve.
