“Specific watershed” is the area bounded by a contour called a crest line, within which the precipitated water flows and ends up directly joining the body of water without passing through another body of water.
The rules of creation to be taken into account are:
A/Cas of a body of non-artificial watercourses
— The upstream and downstream outlets of the body of watercourses,
— There is no inclusion of another body of water in the specific watershed.
B/Cas of an artificial body of watercourse: it does not have a specific watershed.
C/Cas of a body of water body of water
— Artificial or not, it must have a specific catchment area,
— In the case of gravel: Its perimeter will be resumed as a specific catchment area. The topographic watershed will be reused if the available information is fairly fine.
D/Cas of a coastal water body
— The specific catchment area corresponds to the body of coastal water enriched by its topographic catchment area (e.g. potential coastal watercourses not identified as bodies of watercourses, etc.) with the exception of what belongs to another body of water.
The entire national administrative territory is covered by specific watersheds.
A specific watershed may not contain a body of continental surface water in the following cases:
— Coastal watercourses of the hydrographic reference framework not identified as a body of watercourses,
— Head of catchment area going abroad,
— Endoreic area: This will be defined only by recapturing the endoreic area.
The layers are distributed in a format consistent with the SANDRE Data Dictionary of the Water Body Reference, version 1.4.
