France is divided into 12 large watersheds, known as river basin districts. These are:
— from the Artois-Picardie basin,
— the Rhine-Meuse basin,
— from the Seine-Normandie basin,
from the Loire-Bretagne basin,
from the Adour-Garonne basin.
— the Rhône-Mediterranean basin,
— from the Corsican basin,
— from the Guadeloupe Basin,
— from the Martinique Basin,
from the French Guiana Basin,
— from the Reunion Basin,
— from the Mayotte Basin
River basin boundaries do not correspond to administrative boundaries.
