The Bavarian home story is diverse, modern, often surprising and it starts right on your own doorstep. Our home museums are home to treasures that want to be discovered and tell the exciting, original, as well as extraordinary home stories. As a contribution to the anniversary year 2018 (“100 years of the Free State of Bavaria”), the Ministry of Homeland has therefore embarked on a special treasure hunt and, as part of the competition “100 Heimat Treasures”, awarded special gems that characterise the local history and local culture.
