Dataset description
Legally protected biotopes according to § 30 Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatschG) — The Land Office for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection North Rhine-Westphalia (LANUV) covers the protected biotopes in biotope mapping and clearly delimits them in maps in agreement with the Lower Landscape Authority. — Pursuant to Paragraph 30(2) of the BNatSchG, acts which may lead to destruction or other impairment of the biotopes are prohibited. — In individual cases, the Lower Landscape Authority may allow an exception under Paragraph 30(3) of the BNatSchG if the impairments of the biotopes can be compensated.
