Based on data from the drilling database Lower Saxony, the hydrogeological 3D model Delmenhorst was created at the State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology (LBEG) and using all other available input data such as geophysical data and existing 3D models, e.g. from water suppliers. In total, the model in 23 geological units depicts the subsurface up to the Miocene. The layer sequence includes old Pleistocene units, the deposits of the Elster, Saale and Vistula cold times up to the most recent deposits of the Holocene, as well as deposits of the Eem warm-time (Table 1).
