Access points to railway pathways in Wuppertal

The data set includes 73 places (as of 12/2020), from which access to the railway line cycle paths (Nordbahntrasse, Sambatrasse, Schwarzbachtrasse) on Wuppertal’s urban area is possible. These actually area-like places are represented by their geometric focal points (“access points”). The access points identify the places where the public road network needs to be left in order to reach the railway cycle lanes. In some cases, the access points are already directly on the railroad cycle paths, some of which are still line-like connections, which are included in the Open Data data set “Access routes to railway pathways in Wuppertal”. Both data sets are to be understood as supplementing the data set “Radrouten Wuppertal”, in which the complete Wuppertal cycle paths, represented by the central axes of the associated roads and paths, are proven. The data set was completed for the first time in spring 2015 by digitisation based on the Digital Basic Map DGK and has since been continued in the event of changes in access points in a timely manner. Since the beginning of 2016, the ABK official base card has been used as a digitalisation basis. The ESRI shape files, KML and GeoJSON files provided as open data under the CC BY 4.0 license are updated weekly in an automated process.
