Base Detfurth Formation

The rocks of the Detfurth Formation (Mittlerer Buntsandstein) were influenced by erosion events during the more recent hardegs and solling cycles of the Buntsandstein and later during the upper upper junction to the lower chalk and therefore lack in the southern and western investigation area. The low altitude generally increases from northwest to southeast. High altitudes are mainly above the salt cushions Lilli/Leila and Hulda as well as along the Diapir flanks of the salt wall Lollo/Lisa.
