Dataset of the basic ecological units of Germany. The demarcations of the basic ecological units are based on the information provided in Appendix 1 to the Regulation on areas of provenance for forest reproductive material (Forest Seed Origin Ordinance) of 7 October 1994 and were examined by the members of the Working Group on Own Woods.
