The chartwork BFD 5L (ground area data of the agricultural area in scale 1: 5000) was developed as part of the project ‘Soil Functional Evaluation of Soil Estimation Data’ in close cooperation with the Hessian State Office for Environment and Geology, the Oberfinanzdirektion Koblenz, the Land Office for Surveying and Geobase Information Rhineland-Palatinate and the Engineering Office Interface Soil. Data from soil estimation, which have been collected uniformly for the agricultural area since 1934 and provide information up to one metre of soil depth, were used as a basis. In the present first expansion stage of the MapServer, only evaluations based on the class mark of soil estimation are used.:The number of arable and grassland numbers is a ratio and characterises the natural viability of a site. It is calculated from the soil or grassland base number by taking into account other parameters (e.g. climate, slope or forest shade). http://www.lgb-rlp.de/fileadmin/service/lgb_downloads/boden/bfd5l_methodenbeschriebe/bfd5l_ertragsmesszahl.pdf
