The map shows the carbon content (TOC content) in the subsoil (130-200 cm) of agricultural land in Lower Saxony. For the creation of the map, the NIBIS laboratory database for carbon content has been evaluated. The results have been regionalised using the utilisation-differentiated soil overview map (BÜK50n) on a scale of 1:50,000. The methodology is described in detail in GeoReport 27. The characteristic classification is based on the technical rules of the LAGA M 20. A distinction is made between relatively secured data and test rooms. In the test rooms, the map provides an indication of the TOC content, but it should be checked on-site for concrete planning.
