The Decker’s chartwork is the beginning of the state recording in the Prussian General Staff. From 1816 to 1821, large areas of the then province of Brandenburg were in scale 1: 25 000 recorded. The resulting so-called square mile leaves have a circumference of 667 sheets. Part of these sections were reduced to scale 1: 50,000 duplicated under the direction of Carl von Decker. The area around Berlin has been published in 9 card sheets under the name “Umgebietd von Berlin”. These originals from the holdings of the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin — Prussian Cultural Heritage — have been reproduced by the LGB and are thus available to everyone as facsimile prints. The total expansion ranges from Kremmen, Oranienburg and Biesenthal in the north to Mittenwalde and Storkow in the south as well as from Nauen and Ketzin in the west to Strausberg in the east. A single sheet is offered for the price of EUR 12, the set of all 9 cards for the price of EUR 81.
