The Upper Jura is extensively formed in the duck beak and runs predominantly in a depth interval of 800-5 200 m. The largest depth is reached at 5 200 m within the John Basin. Furthermore, the depth of the horizon increases in the northwest and along the border with the Danish sector. A deep sinking of the horizon can also be demonstrated along some salt structures. The relief of the horizon gives indications of a pronounced salin artectonic in the Upper Jurassic. In addition, the base of the Upper Jura in the duck beak is a very prominent discordance area.
