Digital aerial images are reduced photographic images of a part of the Earth’s surface. They are generally taken from aircraft with special cameras vertically downwards. The terrain is distorted in aerial image. Aerial images do not have a uniform scale or georeferencing.
The digital aerial image is a gray value matrix, created by scanning the image. Scanned with a resolution of about 1700 dpi (15 micrometers).
