Dataset description

Digital orthophotos (DOPs) are equal to the plane, georeferenced aerial images. The projection of the aerial images is carried out via a digital terrain model of the Earth’s surface. DOPs, which are older than 10 years, are provided by GeoSN exclusively via several WebMappingService (WMS) in the Geoportal Sachsenatlas. Provision via WMS will take place from 1995 onwards. The Main State Archive of Saxony also takes over selected DOPs of the GeoSN, which are older than 10 years, into its archives. So far, the following time discs have been handed over: 1995 to 2005.
