The image-based DOM (BDOM) depicts the DOM, the earth’s surface and the objects on it at the time the aerial images are taken.
The BDOM is derived from point clouds generated by correlation-oriented aerial images (OLB) from the geotopographic flight. This method offers the possibility to assign coordinate pairs pixelally and assign them with attributes such as the color values of the aerial images (RGBI). Another attribute describes whether the height value of a grid element has been calculated or interpolated from the image correlation and is therefore a synthetically generated point.
