Dataset description

Pursuant to Section 56 sentence 1 of the WHG, wastewater is to be disposed of by the legal persons under public law who are obliged to do so under state law. In the state water laws, the municipalities in whose area the wastewater is generated are usually held responsible for this. Smaller local authorities (cities and agglomerations) are often combined into so-called wastewater associations. The persons obliged to dispose of waste water can use themselves in accordance with § 56 sentence 3 WHG for the fulfilment of their obligations of third parties.
