Among other DLM and other digital data systems (DTK, DGM, DOP), the DLM50 is part of the Official Topographical Cartographic Information System (ATKIS). The Digital Landscape Model 50 of Level 1(DLM 50.1) is derived from the Digital Basic Landscape Model (Base DLM) by model generalisation. Digital landscape models (DLM) model the landscape object-structured in vector form. Characteristic of the DL; is the scale-free modelling of the point, line and surface-shaped objects that cover the entire area of Baden-Württemberg in their entirety. Real world (landscape) is modeled by objects (point, line-shaped, surface-shaped). The DLM can be transferred to the Digital Topographic Map (DTK) with suitable prodezures (generalisation, signature). By means of content (semantic) and geometric generalisation, a simplification of the data structures and a reduction in the volume of data is achieved. The content and modeling of the landscape is described in the ATKIS® Object Type Catalogue (ATKIS®-OK50). Coordinate dimension: 2D (no absolute altitude information), units of flat coordinates: Meters.
