The subject area Geomorphology of EasyGSH-DB (creation of application-oriented synoptic reference data on geomorphology, sedimentology and hydrodynamics in the German Bay) is part of the referenceable, continuously prepared basic data set for the German Bay. Under this metadata set, all products of geomorphology are listed and referenced.
Product:
— EasyGSH-DB: Bathymetry (1996-2016)
— EasyGSH-DB: Isolines of Bathymetry (1996-2016)
— EasyGSH-DB: Maximum and Minimum Z (1996-2016)
— EasyGSH-DB: Morphological Drive (1996-2016)
— EasyGSH-DB: Morphological Space (1996-2016)
Data generation:
The basis for bathymetric products are gridded bathymetric models, which are created using the Functional Ground Model, a data-based hindcast simulation model, via spatial-time interpolation methods from a database of sea and land surveys of various data types. For each year from 1996 to inclusive 2016, a gridded bathymetric model in 10 m resolution for the German Bay and in addition in 250 m resolution for the Exclusive Economic Zone for the year 1996 is produced. The products are provided in GeoTiff and Shapefile format.
