Federal Agency for Nature Conservation: ABA Areas (WFS)

WFS download service of the “Aircraft relevant Bird Areas” (ABA) areas. In the Aviation and Nature Conservation Working Group under the direction of the BfN and the German Aero Club (DAeC), so-called “aeronautical bird areas” were selected in cooperation with the countries’ bird sanctuaries according to uniform criteria. These “Aircraft relevant Bird Areas” (ABA) show areas with high numbers of birds during the resting and train times, as well as areas with particularly disturbing (large bird) species in the aeronautical maps of the German Air Traffic Service (ICAO).
