The priority occurrences of wind power-sensitive species are country-wide planning assistance specifically tailored to regional planning. Areas within the distribution areas of legally protected, wind power sensitive species of birds and bats are presented as a focal point, which are differentiated according to two categories. Category A are selected nature protection areas of very high quality and category B are selected high-quality natural protection areas. When identifying priority areas for wind energy, this means that biodiversity protection concerns can be taken into account in a standardised way.
