Dataset description

The Thuringian forest biotope mapping is the comprehensive mapping of all biotopes of the forest. It is a joint project of the Forest and Nature Conservation Administration the Free State of Thuringia. The aim of the mapping is to capture and document the current natural equipment and the assessment of the forest and nature conservation value of all forest biotopes. Special emphasis is placed on the recording of the specially protected biotopes according to § 18 ThürNatG. As work material there is a carting instructions. As a result, various maps (digital and analog) as well as a material data collection are available.
