The forest height structure map (WHSK) was derived from the normalised digital surface model (nDOM) and describes the country surface in 1 m altitude classes. The highest value within 5x5 m was placed on a pixel of one size
aggregated from 5x5 m. The map is therefore an aggregated and simplified representation of the vegetation height and is used, among other things, by forestry equipment as a means of delimiting the stock.
The FVA forest height structure map is calculated from aerial images of the last 3 years and updated annually.
