Dataset description
Geosearch is a web service provided via the EGovernment basic component Geodata (GeoBAK). The geosearch enables a multi-critical search for selected geobase data and geospatial data, geoinformation (metadata) and portal content (websites, documents). It is a central part of the Sachsenatlas geoportal and is designed as a free search or full-text search. The implementation of the search in the geoportal as a singular search field (omnibox, one-field search) analogous to well-known Internet search engines, allows users to get started quickly. Unlike standardised OGC geodata services such as OGC-WFS Gazetteer, geosearch enables performance-optimised research, which is not limited to geodata only. Due to the filter and sorting options, geosearch enables the implementation of research possibilities beyond the field search. In the geoportal, this is implemented via the advanced search with e.g. spatial and temporal selection options. Furthermore, individual objects are linked to each other. This makes it possible, for example, to search for all house numbers of a street (drilldown). The implementation of forms with selection lists for a search that calls the geosearch is possible.
