Dataset description
Data from https://www.deutschlandatlas.bund.de : Percentage of people in need of care in inpatient care in 2019 as a percentage of those in need of care. Inpatient care is required if the care provided by relatives or nursing services in their own four walls is not or no longer possible. According to the official care statistics, there are around 16,000 inpatient care homes in Germany in 2019 with 1,000,000 available nursing places. Of the 4.1 million people in need of care in Germany, a total of 860,000 people will be provided in nursing homes in 2019.
