Dataset description

References to biotope complex areas protected or partially protected by law in accordance with § 30(2) BNatSchG or § 13(1) HAGBNatSchG. These were derived from complex geometries of Hessian biotope mapping, so reading the “short information” is recommended. Data from Hessian biotope mapping were collected between 1992 and 2006. Mapping is a selective mapping from a nature conservation point of view of valuable, semi-natural or extensively used biotopes and biotope complexes on a scale of 1.25,000.
