Groundwater equalisation maps reflect the large-scale location of the groundwater surface at a certain point in time. The lines of the same groundwater level are shown, or, in the case of tensioned aquifers, the lines of the same groundwater pressure height are shown. The map works mainly cover the flatland share of North Rhine-Westphalia, in which loose rocks are predominantly found in the near-surface area. Representations are kept for a deep, medium and high groundwater level. Due to the scale, not all local characteristics such as lowering funnels of waterworks or influences of surface waters can be reproduced. Available are: Groundwater equals in the blade section of the topographic map 1:50.000 (TK 50) October 1963 (medium groundwater level) Groundwater equals in the leaf section of the topographic map 1:50.000 (TK 50) October 1973 (deep groundwater level) (groundwater level in the leaf section of the topographic map 1:50.000 (TK 50) October 1988 (high groundwater level)
