Dataset description

Saarland WFD monitoring network for groundwater bodies reported as part of the 2016 WFD reporting. The measuring network comprises 49 measuring points in groundwater. These include drill holes such as wells and groundwater measuring stations as well as trapped springs. The sampling of the measuring points is currently carried out quarterly and includes, in addition to nitrate 109 other parameters, including a variety of pesticides, organic compounds and heavy metals. In order to determine the quantitative state, the hourly recording of the water level by means of data loggers takes place at 36 of these groundwater measuring stations (holes).
