Group layer Precipitation — Precipitation total 2021-2050 relative to 1971-2000

The group layer represents the change in the mean precipitation total as a percentage in the period 2021-2050 for the reference period 1971-2000 and is divided into three group layers: SRES scenario A1B, RCP scenario 4.5 and RCP scenario 8.5. The data bases are provided by the German Weather Service: In the SRES scenario A1B, they are based on climate model simulations of a model ensemble consisting of 19 climate models (ENSEMBLES project) and have a spatial resolution of about 22 km. In the RCP scenarios, they are based on climate model simulations of a model ensemble consisting of 13 climate models (EURO-CORDEX) and are available in a resolution of approximately 12.5 km. The three group layers contain 15 card layers: The change in the average rainfall in the near future for spring (March, April, May), summer (June, July, August), autumn (September, October, November), winter (December, January, February) and for the whole year (January-December); each for the 15th, 50th, and 85.
